For years, the Salon de TE serves as an ideal marketing platform for us to launch new watches, enhance our brand exposure and strengthen our network with industry players. During the fair period, we hosted three product launch events to present our three new collections, namely ‘Luk’s Time Series: A Bullish Year’ Tourbillon Watch, ‘KanaLili Collection: Sora’ Tourbillon Watch, and ‘Perform for Life’ Tourbillon Watch. The fair provides a good opportunity for us to build our brand so that more local consumers know our brand and buy our tourbillon watches at the watch shops operated by our authorised dealers. To further increase our brand exposure, I also attended several interviews conducted by local media and the HKTDC.

We acquired the licence at the beginning of this year to produce and sell Le Petit Prince watches in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Due to group gathering regulation, it is very difficult for us to organise public events to promote Le Petit Prince watches and we can only rely on e-commerce platforms to sell our watches. We are happy to see the return of Salon de TE physical show this year because it provides a platform for us to introduce our watches to the general public. The fair also provides a gathering place for industry players to exchange ideas. We would like to thank the HKTDC for organising a glamorous watch parade and promoting our watches through social media platforms. Such efforts have successfully attracted many consumers to come to our booth to see the real products.

To support Hong Kong’s watch and clock industry, we have returned to this year’s Salon de TE which is open to both trade and public visitors. We didn’t expect such a high visitor flow before the opening of the fair. The HKTDC has done a good job in promoting the fair through various channels and the fair’s opening hours also facilitate more visitors to come after office hours. The fair provides a good opportunity for us to collect direct feedback from customers and understand their preferences. As we are selling Swiss-made branded watches at attractive prices, we expect that 100 pieces will be sold at the fair. The HKTDC has also arranged three online meetings for us to meet with overseas buyers. We think online meetings provide the only way for us to approach overseas buyers and explore business opportunities under the pandemic.

Titan is a large watch manufacturer and retailer in India which has 500 shops. About 90% of our watches are sold under our own brand while the rest comes from other brands. We have a buying office in Hong Kong. This is our second time visiting the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair. We have found three to four potential OEM manufacturers which can meet our requirements. They supply multifunctional stainless steel watches for adults and plastic watches for kids. We’ll ask them to make some new models for us to present to our marketing and purchasing team in India. The quantity for our initial order is 1,500 pieces per supplier.

Chow Sang Sang sells jewellery and watches through its outlets in Hong Kong and Mainland China. This is my first-time visit to the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair. I am looking for high-class packaging boxes especially for our shops in Mainland China. The HKTDC’s business matching service saves me a lot of time in screening the right suppliers which have rich experience in handling packaging projects for shops in Mainland China. I have found three potential suppliers and hope to cooperate with them. The amount of our initial order is HK$100,000.
